This was not a surf trip only. The waves and the incredible logistics to surf non-stop, plus scoring some big fish along the way. The visibility, the marine life, the sheer untouched nature of these reefs is unlike anything I have encountered anywhere in the world.

I have surfed Indonesia, Portugal, Australia, Morocco, the Maldives and Hawaii, and this is still the trip I talk about most. Gonçalo has a level of local knowledge that no guidebook or travel agent can replicate. He puts you on the right wave, at the right tide, before anyone else even knows it is breaking. If you are serious about surfing, this is the trip.

We came as a family, kids included, and Gonçalo made it work for everyone. The little ones had calm, beautiful water to explore while the adults got to surf waves we will never forget. The crew were warm, patient and genuinely wonderful with the children. It felt less like a charter and more like a family holiday on the most beautiful boat in Indonesia.
